Puck rounds a corner at full speed, only to skid to a halt. “Oh no...!” he groans, staring ahead. A dense crowd blocks the street, all standing motionless and staring upward. “What fresh hell is this, now...?”
He cranes his neck, trying to see past them. A holographic air ad flickers above — a flashy promotion for a sports event. His expression twists in disbelief. “A sports ad...? This is a bad joke, right...?” He shoves forward, muttering, “I thought I was easily distracted by shiny things...”
Rubbing at his forehead in frustration, he pushes into the crowd. “I am not gonna waste twenty years of my life because you people are easily distracted by... by modern-day bread and circuses!” He bellows, “MOVE, YOU IDIOTS!!”
The onlookers turn slowly, revealing one tall figure in a mask who glares down at him. “...Oh,” Puck says flatly, realizing his mistake.
He exhales sharply. “Well... shit.” Straightening his jacket, he mutters, “No, y’know what? I don’t have time to waste on this...” He throws his arms out in exasperation. “Whatever you’re going to do, let’s just be done with it! Hurry up!”
