FaerieTales Page 6. Puck continues to tell the toddler the story of the fairy folks' flight from Earth, led by King Oberon and Queen Titania. Some of the magic seems to creep into the toddler's space, overlapping the panels.

Cover page! One day I might go back through and re-paint all the covers. That actually sounds soothing.

The baby remains distracted as the man, clearly Puck himself, continues:

“…Many assumed… or wanted to assume… that war was the best answer. That if they wiped the humans out, everyone could live safely. But Oberon had a better idea.”

The vignette shows a bleeding elfin woman deposited before Oberon and Titania. Her body is surrounded by grieving family. Below, Oberon and Titania speak passionately outdoors, rallying fae to their cause. Titania appears especially fierce. Two white-haired elfin men—one a soldier, one an advisor—stand beside her. They resemble the trollish figures from earlier, now tall and handsome. They seem closely tied to her. Meanwhile, Puck flanks Oberon, watching him with concern.

“…It took a very long time, but he and Titania united all the fae, the oldest and most powerful of all the magical peoples….and they pooled their magic to create an entirely new world!”

In the accompanying vignette, shadowy figures outlined in magic gather bits of earth, forming a floating mass. The magical light they wield spills into the scene beside the baby, catching her attention.
